Core Works Sazabi Conversion

Core Works released their latest conversion kit this week; looks like it's time to dust of the MG Sazabi!! A pretty substantial improvement on the design, and a BFO gun.

Hip Modification.

A common feature of teh older MG kits is poor poseability, unless you want the finished item standing to attention! To increase the range of motion on the hips I first separated the 2 ball ends. and made the hole in the central part larger. Then a couple of Kotbukiya balls where used to extend the joint (the double "cup" came with a resin kit - not sure which - but it is perfect).

A couple of spare polycaps enable an almost perfect fit into the pelvis part. There are now 3 degrees og motion for teh legs (c.f. the original 1 in the unmodified kit).

The central piece was then cut in 2 to use a s a cover for the large double cup polycap. The assembled skeleton shows an example of teh stances that are now available.

The kit itself ( a mini review).

Get ready for temptation overload.........................the kit arrived this morning (super speedy shippingfrom Korea, 24 hour shipping for $10).

These guys do a great job on presentation (which I am a sucker for);

Silver imbossed black textured box, with a grey scale photo/name label.(and the obligatory holographic authenticity sticker)

The colour/greyscale instructions are very clear, with cg renderings of the part assembly.

Photos, decals and 2 green gems (monoeye) are included.

I would liked to of had a parts list (for checking against) as this is the norm.The pieces are sealed in sectioned polythene bags and look very nice indeed clean and virtually seamfree.

The hands look like B-club recasts (so I guess those OOP sazabi hands that I have been hoarding can go up on ebay). As well as the majority of body armour parts, the conversion replaces ankle and shoulder joints to improve articulation.

Parts and comparisons.

The kit consists of 118 very sharply cast pieces.
